At this time the present list of farmers are providing enough pigs for our needs for this year

We are still encouraging the piggy co-op to grow and are butchering as many pigs as we can at this time




 We want to create a system where an approved farmer can deliver several pigs / whole litters to our assigned slaughter house outside Bantry, and we collect weigh and pay the farmer directly!

Do you have the potential to rear pigs in straw pens  ( in winter)  with outdoor access or entirely reared outdoors?

We will confirm the purchase of pigs from you if you can contact us well in advance! preferably before farrowing!  the gestation of a pig is 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days, and it takes 6-7 months to rear / finish!!

During times of abundance we will give preference to outdoor pigs, reared on good feed from a traditional breed! 

After you become an approved supplier, deliveries are booked in with Gubbeen, Pigs are taken by yourself to O'Donoghues Slaughter house ( map on site ) with appropriate paperwork and we will collect and weigh your pigs head off and contact you by email with your weights and lodge money in your account  via online banking within 12 days of delivery
